"When we started thinking about building our first home, we were quick to say no because of all the horror stories that we had heard about building. However, when Richman homes approached us about building, they were quick to change our mind. We held them to their words, and they never let us down. Rich and Cathy Coffman were absolutely wonderful to work with. They are very professional, friendly and true experts in the home construction industry. They did a great job of communicating with us and with everyone else at the job site. We would recommend Richman Homes to all of our family and friends. From beginning to end, Richman homes continually exceeded our expectations."

"Rather unexpectedly we found our Richman home as we were leaving yet another lack luster showing of a home in the same subdivision. Becky and I reacted the same way at the same time when we saw what would become “our new house”. The outside was attractive and the closer we got, the better it looked to us, especially that 3 car garage.
We quickly made an appointment to view what we were now calling “our” house. We will always remember the feeling that came over us when we first entered the front door. It was like being in the home we always wanted but never thought we would have. The feelings of well being, comfort and quality were filling us up. It was as if the house actually embraced and welcomed us inside.
Trying to remain practical and businesslike we carefully scrutinized the features offered in “our” house. The rounded corners where walls come together, the double hung windows, the Delta plumbing fixtures, the solid floors and the overall fit and finish of the very structure itself were just a few of the points of excellence. As Rich Coffman toured with us he explained not only the how he built “our” house but more importantly, why he builds homes. It is his first love and has always been his dream job.
Our first impression was a lasting impression that we will never forget. We were impressed with “our” home, its builder and later the ethics of Rich and his company. During our purchasing phase, trust, honor and complete openness were exhibited at every juncture. We developed a sense of respect for Richman Homes and the people who make the company. We also were made to feel as though they had a great amount of respect for us not only as buyers but as people.
It has been six months since we moved into “our” home and the features are still making favorable impressions. The lower level has stayed completely dry, even during the most severe of storms thanks to the 3 feet of crushed rock below and on each side of the water sealed foundation. The patio is bathed in shade during the hottest part of the day allowing for refreshing evenings cooking out or just relaxing under the outdoor fan. A personal friend who is a professional contractor was very impressed by the heating, cooling and hot water systems.
When we talk with some of the neighbors and hear their stories of concrete pulling away from their house, or cracks appearing, or just plain lack of responsiveness by their builder, it makes us even more satisfied that we picked “our house” and “our builder.”

"We decided to build a house in Elsah, IL
and engaged Richman Homes to build, decorate and furnish our new home.
We have lived in some 20 houses during our married life and have owned four of them
including the Elsah house. Three of the houses were built specifically for us.
Without question, the Mill Street house in Elsah is the best quality of construction and furnishings
of any house we have lived in.
We love it and everything about it. Thank you Richman Homes!”
